Meet Our Leaders

Charles Béquignon-MacDougall

Charles Béquignon-MacDougall is known equally for his singing and his transformative work with choirs and singers, and is one the country’s most influential champions of music education. Having performed with some of the world’s finest vocal ensembles, including VOCES8 and Gabrieli Consort, he has gone on to become a highly accomplished choral director and vocal coach. He is Creative Director of Gabrieli Roar, Choral Consultant for ABRSM Voices, Musical Director of Trinity Laban Chamber Choir, and an Ambassador for Britten-Pears Arts, having previously held roles as Vocal Ensembles Coach and Tutor in Vocal Studies at Junior Trinity, and Choral Director of Voices Foundation. He also directs two community choirs and one upper voices group in London, and is passionate about encouraging singers of all abilities to sound and perform at their very best.

Charlotte Brosnan

Charlotte enjoys a diverse musical career as a singer, conductor, and workshop leader. She delivers workshops and facilitates education projects throughout the UK and Europe for various national organisations including The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, ABRSM Voices, The Bach Choir, London Youth Choir and VOCES8 Foundation. She is an ambassador for Britten-Pears Arts and a trustee for St Paul’s Opera. Charlotte conducts London Youth Choir South West and is musical director for Monumental Choir, Balham a community choir that she founded in 2019. She is in demand as a workshop leader, presenter, and adjudicator. Charlotte has been a soloist in many of the World’s prestigious concert venues and recorded the Grammy Award winning Album, ‘Light and Gold,’ with the world-renowned composer Eric Whitacre. She enjoys a varied performance career in opera, oratorio and the recital hall, having started her career singing with Apollo5, an international award-winning vocal quintet, touring the world.

Amanda Brosnan

Amanda trained as an Aerobics and Body Conditioning Instructor in 2003, initially teaching at local gyms. Two years later she qualified as a Pilates Instructor and took further training to Advanced Level with The Pilates Institute. Having re-trained with Body Control Pilates in 2007, Amanda teaches full time. She has specialist Pilates qualifications in Back Care, Bone Health, Small Equipment, Ante and Post-Natal Pregnancy and the Reformer. Amanda has been a keen singer all her life and thinks Pilates is a wonderful way to get set up for healthy singing!
